Off-Roading Car Fridges
For the frequent off road adventure seeker, there are always improvements, enhancements, additions and tweaks that can be made to make trips more enjoyable. One piece of kit that is a perennial favorite of the off-road set is the high quality 12v car fridge. A well-equipped off road vehicles is the perfect platform for installation of car fridges. Why is this so?
Many 4x4s and trucks that frequently go off road are equipped with equipment such as recovery winches, 12v air compressors and high powered spotlights. In order to run all of this electrical equipment these trucks are often modified by their owners to include beefy batteries – or sometimes even dual batteries – and frequently will have upgraded electrical systems.

With a setup like this Engel fridges can be allowed to run down the secondary batter completely without impacting your ability to start the vehicle – and once the car is started, the depleted second battery will quickly be recharged by the alternator.
