PostHeaderIcon Big Game Ladder Stand Review

Last year was a first for me. I bought my first tree stand. I look all of the different styles over and then compared the features and benefits of each. After awhile, and after talking to a lot of deer hunters, I felt like a ladder stand would be the best bet for me. I visited every store in my area that carried treestands and tried the ones I could. Finally, about a month before season started I decided to buy a Big Game Ladder Stand. The model that I settled for was the Big Game Titan Ladder Stand. Here’s my thoughts about this particular treestand.

I was a little intimidated by how large the box was when I picked it up. I wasn’t sure that I would be able to put this all together or not. As it turned out, the written instruction were very easy to follow. I started by laying all the parts out, reading the installation instructions to familiarize myself with all the parts, then I started the assembly. In about an hour, I had the Big Game Ladder Stand assembled and ready to hit the wood.

Now this ladder stand weighs about 80 pounds. So it wouldn’t be a treestand that I would be carrying in and out of the woods every time I went hunting Whitetail deer. I was grateful for that! The piece of land that I hunt deer on is private so I didn’t have to worry about someone stealing this stand. I did however have to use my game cart to get it back into the woods where I wanted to set it up. I didn’t have help and that worried me a bit. The instructions say that three people should be used to set the ladder stand into place, but I figured I could handle it.

Once I arrived where I wanted to put the stand, I put the sections together and placed the feet about where I thought they needed to be after I got the stand raised. I then picked up the stand at the platform and raised it above my head, walking down toward the feet as I did. Once the stand was upright, I pushed it over to the tree, attached the stabilizers and then climbed it to attache the chain.

This all went much easier than I thought it would. In no time at all, I was sitting in the stand, all nice and comfy. The stand didn’t make any noise and the flex core seat was a joy to sit. I took several deer out of that stand last year and look forward to this year’s hunting. If you need a stand that is comfortable to sit in all day and quiet, then I suggest trying a Big Game Ladder Stand.
